+ To begin with the first day of excitement, your ride will be ready at a fresh hour of the morning, around 8 am.Today you will be visiting the Tsomgo Lake and the Baba HarbhajanMandir. Both of these places form some famous tourist destinations in Gangtok.

+ Tsomgo Lake In the wake of 3 hours drive, you will reach the first stop which is one of highest altitude lakes of India, Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake. It finds itself at 12,400 ft or 3750 m above sea level. The word ‘Tsomgo’ means ‘the source of water’ that turns the lake into a sacred spot for the locals which is surrounded by spectacular mountain peaks.

+ Baba HarbhajanMandir It is constructed as a tribute to a significant personality of Indo-Pak War of 1965, Captain Harbhajan Singh. Many Indian guards as well as Chinese sentries believe that his soul is still alive, protecting the country hence turning the place into a pilgrimage.

+ Nathula Pass- Optional Tour Located in the East Sikkim district, Nathula Pass connects India with China’s autonomous region, Tibet. Also, it forms a trunk of ancient silk road where Indian tourists can visit only after obtaining permission in Gangtok. To illuminate your trip, you can also pick this optional tour on the same day by paying an extra charge. Or else, you can simply end your day going back to your space of leisure in your hotel rooms and luxuriate for your escapade approaching the next day.

+ Post breakfast, we will take you for a full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. You will visit Ganesh Tok which is visited by people since ages and it also offers great views of Kangchenjunga. Enjoy at the Banjhakri waterfall which is a wonderful picnic spot. Then head to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to see the rich cultural heritage of Tibetan architecture and Buddhist culture. The Ropeway is the next attraction that offers great views of the mountains. Next, we will cover the other attractions of Gangtok such as Bakthang Waterfalls, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Tashi view point, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Enchey Monastery and Flower Show.

+ Return to the hotel for an overnight stay

+ After breakfast, we will drive you to Pelling. The journey from Gangtok to Pelling is pleasing as you will drive past the gorgeous tea gardens, majestic mountains, and scenic landscape. Pelling is a lovely town located amidst the pine forest. It offers great views of snow-capped mountains and the might Kangchenjunga. It is also a home to age-old monasteries.

+ After a long drive of more than 5 hours you will be tired, so take rest and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

+ After breakfast, get ready to explore the local attractions of Pelling. Start with Kanchenjunga waterfalls which will surely rejuvenate you to the hilt with its gushing water and green surroundings. Then head to the picturesque Sewaro rock garden full of greenery and beauty. Next on the list is Darap Valley which is a scenic retreat. Take a break for lunch and continue with the sightseeing visiting Pema Yangtse monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi waterfalls, Khecheopalri sacred Lake and Rabdentse Ruins. Drive back to the hotel in evening and stay overnight.

+ After breakfast, drive to Darjeeling. The drive may not be very smooth but on the journey, you will come across gorgeous green gardens, rivers, quaint villages and old bridges.

+ Reach the hotel in Darjeeling, check in and stay overnight.

+ In the last day of your excursion, you need to get up all bright and really early, say 4 am, to observe the first ray of sunrise at Mt. Kanchenjunga.

+ Tiger Hills, Tiger Hills has its peak at the altitude of 2590 m which is quite a fascinating point for crazy travellers who do not wish to miss even a single glance of natural magic. Standing on the Tiger Hill, you can closely observe the sun striking the peak of the third-highest mountain in the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga.

+ Ghoom Monastery, Having a blissful morning, you will be taken to the oldest Buddhist Monastery, Ghoom Monastery which was established by a monk and famous astrologer, Lama SherabGyatso in 1850.

+ Batasia Loop, It is a loop like railway track which is constructed by a team of experts to lower the slope of ascending Darjeeling. Rather just a railway track, it is that alluring location which will make you appreciate the work of the team. You will have the most amazing landscape view of Darjeeling from every angle only at Batasia Loop.

+ Himalayan Mountaineering Institute In order to promote mountaineering amongst youth, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is established where people from across the world come to learn more about mountaineering experience. As you next stop, you can also gain more knowledge about this adventure sport. Note: Better not visit the place on Thursdays because it remains close.

+ Tenzing Rock, After acknowledging about mountaineering, it is time for you to try a little practical. There is no better place than Tenzing Rock where all the mountaineers come to learn rock-related activities.

+ Chitrey Tea Garden In the middle of a small mountain village of Darjeeling, there is a wonderful tea plantation which in a new hotspot for all the tourists. You are going here too. So, choose a perfect pose because you would not stop taking pictures of the place.

+ Finally, by the evening, you will have more time to wander on the mall road and Chowrasta

+ Enjoy Toy train. The Darjeeling Toy Train (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) is a UNESCO World Heritage site offering a nostalgic, slow-paced journey through the Himalayas, featuring iconic steam engines, sharp loops like Batasia Loop, and panoramic views of Kanchenjunga. The most popular 2-hour "Joy Ride" runs from Darjeeling to Ghoom (highest station in India) and back.
